We have researched the effectiveness of our programme by means of student surveys, focus groups, and teacher interviews.
We conducted an online survey of students in three diverse secondary schools after 8 weeks of the Sensations art programme.
Key findings:
liked the ArtScreen and Sensations programming
was the average daily viewing opportunity
watched the art videos
interacted with the art when invited to do so
agreed that Sensations ‘will/may increase my knowledge and appreciation of art’
expressed interest in visiting a famous art museum
The research schools are located in London, South Wales, and Merseyside.
