About
“It’s a true ‘national gallery’ of art, for student art as well as great art from the past.”

Art In Schools operates a network of large, bright digital ‘ArtScreens’ in the common areas of secondary schools. The screens broadcast stunning images of famous and contemporary artworks comprising painting, sculpture, photography, and digital and video art. Students enjoy artwork displayed over the school year in a series of weekly exhibitions under the programme name ‘Sensations’.

The broadcasts are not limited to the ArtScreens. We also provide the Sensations programming in digital form for a variety of uses in schools. Administrators are able to show the art on the schools' own TV screens in common areas and on school computers. Teachers – not just of art but of all subjects – are able to display the art on the digital whiteboards in class. We also supply teachers with learning resources that accompany the programming. Headteachers and tutor group leaders often use the art in their assemblies and group sessions.

There’s more. We also inspire the entire school community to engage with the art by voting for their favourite works and making their own versions. Students (and staff) participate in Art Challenges, in which they submit their versions of famous artworks to win prizes – and see their work on the big screen. The entries are endlessly creative and in a variety of media.
